Donating through Just Giving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us and means AOS gets your money faster. If you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
In addition to raising money for AOS, we hope this effort has inspired all our supporters to get out there and raise money in any form of event they like. Scroll down for more ideas.

The chairman of trustees of AOS GB, Mr Eamonn Delaney, has become the latest person to sign up for the Sea to Sea challenge. This is a fantastic opportunity to walk in the footsteps of the apostles through the Holy Land. Mr Delaney will join other AOS supporters on this trip of a lifetime raising money to support seafarers.
There are still a few places left for the AOS Sea to Sea challenge which takes place in October. Could you join the walkers and help us to help seafarers?
Fr Colum and Maureen in Immingham |
...Mrs Maureen Dunne.
Mrs Dunne was the lucky winner of the St Anthony's Church Easter raffle. Former parish priest of St Anthony's, in Leeds, Fr Colum Kelly is now AOS port chaplain in Immingham. Parishioners of St Anthony's are very supportive to Fr Colum in his work with seafarers. They have organised numerous fundraising events on behalf of AOS. In 2007, Fr Colum received a new vehicle largely funded by his former parish.
This year's Easter raffle at St Anthony's was also in aid of AOS and offerred a very special first prize: a day on the docks with Fr Colum. Mrs Dunne wisely waited for warmer weather before claiming her prize. In early June she spent several hours with Fr Colum in the port of Immingham where she also visited the ecumenical seafarers' centre. We are delighted to report that she thoroughly enjoyed her day with AOS.

In addition to bringing in vital revenue, fundraising events are an excellent means of raising awareness of the work of AOS. Organising an event can be hugely rewarding. From coffee mornings to barn dances, from jumble sales to fancy dress parties, the sky’s the limit!
