Sea Sunday is celebrated on the second Sunday in July. All over the world, congregations of Christians gather to remember those who live and work at sea. Contact AOS in your area to find out about activities locally.

Use your consumer power

Sadly many seafarers and fishers are exploited by others for commercial gain. The Fair Trade movement has already shown that, by choosing goods and services from ethical sources, we can all participate in reducing the profits of exploitation.

Support seafarers’ and fishers’ rights

Lobby your political representatives in support of legislation that guarantees the rights of seafarers and fishers. Express your support for the Consolidated Maritime Labour Convention and the proposed Convention on the rights of fishers.

In your prayers
