Office volunteers

Why are office volunteers needed?

AOS GB is co-ordinated from the National Office in London. Help is often needed with administrative tasks such as data entry, sorting post and filing. Following the annual Sea Sunday appeal in July, volunteers are required to help process donations. In addition, we rely on volunteers for the mailing of our quarterly newsletter.

CarolineVolunteer Caroline regularly helps with administration in the national office in London.

Where is the London office?

Training and support

Office volunteers are given training to use the necessary software packages and other administrative tools. Many find volunteering a valuable means of gaining professional skills. Lunch and travel expenses are provided. At the end of each mailing session, a lunchtime party is organised for the volunteers who have helped with stuffing envelopes.

Requirements

Various opportunities are available for working in the London office. Skills in administration or accountancy are especially welcome. If you are interested in volunteering in the London office, contact the office for an informal chat.
