Opportunities unlimited

There are many ways in which you can help AOS GB to help seafarers.

Mailing

We rely on volunteers to help us in mailing newsletters and other important correspondence. Stuffing and sorting envelopes is time consuming work for which commercial mailing houses charge high prices. Our numerous mailing volunteers give us an invaluable service and save us a great deal of money.

Mailing volunteers come from all walks of life. Some are retired, others join us on their days off from work. One lady gives up a day of her holiday from a City bank each year to assist us. Mailings are organised in the church hall next to the London office. The atmosphere is always lively and a lunchtime party is usually held when the work is completed.

Mailing volunteers

Mailing volunteers prepare information packs for Sea Sunday 2008. Sea Sunday is our most important fundraising event of the year. Without our mailing volunteers, it would be impossible.
